The Centers consist of three major research centers address the leading lifestyle causes of disease burden and death: 

The Centers' research also cuts across the leading chronic diseases and conditions that affect health and quality of life including: cancer, cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, and infectious diseases (i.e., HIV-AIDS). More about other research at the Centers.

The faculty is committed to both basic research on discovering the mechanisms underlying behavioral factors in health and illness, as well as to applied research on the translation of these discoveries for clinical and community health improvement.
