Recognizing the Physical and Emotional Signs of Anger

The following physical and emotional changes make thinking less clear and can be signs of anger.

Physical:

  • clenched fists
  • sweaty palms
  • racing heart
  • shallow breathing
  • racing heartbeat
  • clenched jaw


Emotional:

  • mad
  • aggravated
  • discontented
  • resentful
  • furious
  • annoyed
  • loss of temper
  • outraged
  • infuriated
  • bitter
  • seething
  • hateful
  • ranting and raving
