Emergency and Crisis Services
Emergency
Services
Bradley Hospital provides emergency services for patients who
need urgent evaluations and who are likely to require subsequent
inpatient hospital care. Patients and families can be referred
either by community therapists, mental health centers, general
hospitals, law enforcement or private agencies. Emergency services
are available 24 hours a day.
Crisis Service
The crisis service at Bradley Hospital evaluates children and
their families within 72 hours of contacting the hospital. This
service helps to stabilize crises and refers children and their
families to less intensive services.
Children and their families are seen by a multidisciplinary team,
which includes a child/adolescent psychiatrist, a senior clinical
psychologist and several trainees. Outpatient evaluation and treatment
is also available for families who have transitioned from a more
intensive service at Bradley Hospital.
