Community Outreach
Hasbro nurses are recognized nationally for innovating projects
related to pediatrics. Some of their many community activities include:
- Presentations are made by HCH nurses in national forums recognizing
the work that they do every day.
- Several HCH nurses serve as faculty members at area universities,
helping to develop tomorrow's pediatric nurses.
- Each year, the nursing staff, together with the other departments in
pediatrics, remember those children whose lives ended, but who touched
us deeply. This ceremony reunites nurses with the families of the
children they cared for in life and who live on in our hearts.
HCH nurses also participate in other community activities
including:
- The WSNE Kid's Fair
- Ronald McDonald House
- March of Dimes Campaigns
- Child Safe
- F.A.C.T.S. House
- Lifespan Explorers youth group
These are just some of the ways HCH nurses serve Rhode Island children
and families.
