Tuition Assistance

Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital offers a generous tuition assistance program. A ll full-time employees at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital are eligible for reimbursement of 100% of tuition costs up to a maximum of $2,500 per calendar year for job related courses or courses that fulfill a degree requirement.

  • Part-time non-union employees are eligible for prorated assistance after completing three months of service. Non-union employees are also eligible for reimbursement of conference fees costing up to $200 per calendar year provided the employee provides written authorization and the conference qualifies for continuing education units (CEUs).

  • United Nurses and Allied Professionals (UNAP) employees who are part-time are eligible for prorated assistance after completing six months of employment. UNAP members are also eligible for reimbursement of conference fees costing up to $500 per calendar year provided the employee provides written authorization and the conference qualifies for CEUs.

  • International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) employees who are part-time are eligible for prorated assistance after completing six months of employment.
