Treatment
The gamma knife is a precise and powerful tool for treating certain
tumors and vascular malformations in the brain, effectively and
without surgery. It delivers a single, high-dose of gamma radiation
which affects the diseased tissue, while sparing nearby normal tissue.
The Gamma Knife centers have established relationships with the
Karolinska Institute, where gamma knife technology was pioneered.
