The digital imaging lab offers a variety of advanced digital technologies for image acquisition, processing and analysis.

Images can be acquired from:

  • Epson Expression 10000XL flatbed scanner with a transparency unit .
  • Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 used to digitize kodachromes, film and histology slides.
  • Spot II digital camera that can accommodate an upright and inverted microscope.
  • Nikon C1si confocal microscope equipped with 4 diode lasers that excite at 402, 488, 561 and 638 nm and has spectral capabilities. The confocal is suitable for live cell imaging. Deconvolution software, colocalization analysis and 3D reconstructions are also available .
