The histology laboratory provides histological and cytological services:

• processing
• embedding
• sectioning - frozen, paraffin, methacrylate, et. al.
• staining-conventional, immunological, et.al.
• cytological procedures - cytospins, cell pellets, cell cultures,smears, et. al.

Techniques can be customized to meet the specific requirements of investigators.

Both fresh and fixed tissues can be frozen sectioned.

The following techniques are available:

• "classic" cytochemistry/histochemistry
• immunohistochemistry
  • immunofluorescence
  • immunoperoxidase
• lectin histochemistry
• enzyme histochemistry
