We would like to thank all those who participated in the 15th Annual Research Celebration and made the event a success. Special thanks to Dr Bharat Ramratnam, MD, recipient of the Bruce Selya Award 2006, for an exciting presentation.

Congratulations to Dr Laura Shroud, Ph.D. Assisitant Professor, Medicine, Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital, and recipient of the 2007 Bruce Selya Award for Research Excellence.

Congratulations to all eleven finalists for this year's Young Investigator Award Competition. The winner of this year's Basic Science Category is Karen Drumea, MD, from the department of Medicine, RIH and in the Clinical Science Category, L. Daiello, PharmD, from the department of Neurology/Alzheimer's Center, RIH. The two awards are given for the best poster presentation by a resident, postdoctoral fellow, medical fellow, or student in Basic Science and Clinical Science categories.
