  • Carrefour: Intersections of Biomedical Research and Art

  •
From June 21-July 19, Rhode Island Hospital and Rhode Island School of Design sponsored a cross-disciplinary art exhibition investigating “visual manifestations and imaginings of biomedical research.” Entitled Carrefour: Intersections of Biomedical Research and Art, the collection consisted of “visceral, virtual, whimsical and, in some cases, personal works by Rhode Island artists and medical practitioners.” The exhibition was free and open to the public at the Sol Koffler Gallery in downtown Providence, as part of the hospital’s 150th anniversary celebration. Presented here is video footage of the exhibition’s opening night. (Video courtesy Brown University)
