Brain/behavior interactions in childhood psychiatric illness

Study Criteria

  • Ages 7-17 years
  • Child and parents must be fluent in English
  • No implanted metal or reasons not to have an MRI (i.e., no braces or implanted metal devices, or current pregnancy).
  • Currently recruiting youth with:
    • bipolar disorder (BD)
    • generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
    • attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

We are also recruiting youth without past or present psychiatric or neurological illness (including seizures or loss of consciousness) to act as healthy controls.

Additional criteria for controls only: Controls' 1st degree relatives (parents, brothers, sisters) cannot have present/past psychiatric illness.

Study participation will involve brief telephone screening, in-person interviews/ratings, and an MRI.
