Description:
Siblings of children with chronic illnesses and disabilities experience more psychological adjustment problems than their peers. SibLink is an intervention program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital that provides education and support to siblings. Our research suggests positive changes in sibling functioning before and after participation in SibLink groups, however, changes have not been compared to any form of control group. The purpose of this project is to evaluate the effects of the SibLink intervention program by examining changes in sibling functioning among children who have participated in SibLink program in comparison to siblings who are awaiting participation in the program.

Significance:
This treatment study is an essential part of evaluating the effectiveness of sibling intervention programs.
