Description
The goal of this project is to look more closely at the role of the family in young children (7 to 12 years of age) with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). We assess differences in parent behaviors and family interactions between young children with OCD and their parent(s) as compared to a matched control group and their parent(s).

Significance
These study results will help to better understand early childhood onset OCD, including which types of family interactions enhance treatment response. We hope that developing a more comprehensive view of the families of children with OCD will lead to new and more specific treatments.
