Jack Nassau, PhD

Background Information

Nassau completed undergraduate work at Brown University and graduate work in psychology at Case Western Reserve University. He completed a pre-doctoral internship in clinical child psychology at Boston Children’s Hospital and a post-doctoral fellowship at Brown Medical School.

Research Interests

Nassau’s research interests focus on pediatric asthma. Currently, he has National Institutes of Health funding to study the influence of stress on immune system mediators of airway inflammation in adolescents with asthma. He is also involved in research studying the physiological and psychological correlates of symptom perception in adolescents with asthma, particularly among those that have had a life-threatening asthma episode.

Nassau’s clinical interests focus on pediatric pain management, specifically headache pain and abdominal pain.
