Teaching Children to Save Lives:
Emergency Cardiovacular Care Program for Kids
Lifespan Community Health Services is offering a free, 45-minute class on emergency cardiac care for school children, Teaching Children to Save Lives. Kids participating in the program will:
- Listen to an actual 911 call
- Practice CPR on a mannequin
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED) training model
The program will also cover:
- The basics of CPR
- What is an AED and how to use it
- What to do when someone is choking
- The signs of a heart attack and stroke
- When to call 911

Lifespan Community Health Services also offers the HiTECH Heart Program, which expands on the concepts in the Teaching Children to Save Lives program.
