Health Education and Lecture Programs

  • Diabetes Outpatient Education
    Open to all people with diabetes and their families, this program is offered in six sessions of an hour and one-half each. Numerous topics are covered during the sessions, including a beginning survey, types of diabetes, nutritional management, exercise benefits, medications, self-monitoring, and community resources.   • Healthwise for Life
    As part of Lifespan Community Health's educational offerings, Healthwise for Life gives participants the resources and skills to enhance their own and their loved ones' health and quality of life through specific information about improving the quality of their care at home as well as how to develop good working partnerships with their health professionals.

  • Safe Sitter - Essential skills for kids ages 11-13
    Safe Sitter is more than just a babysitting course. Sponsored by Hasbro Children's Hospital and Lifespan, the program covers a range of topics over two days, advocating safe child care, good parenting skills and responsible adolescents.  More about Safe Sitter

  • Life Support/CPR Training
    The Lifespan Community Training Center offers several life support training programs both for the general public and for health care providers. More about life support classes

    Lifespan Community Health Services provides speakers on a wide variety of health topics.

  • Emergency Cardiovascular Care Program for Kids
