Old-Fashioned Gravy
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. low-calorie margarine
- 9 tbsp. flour
- Salt substitute to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups turkey giblets, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups white wine
Directions
Melt margarine over low heat. Mix in flour, salt substitute and
pepper. Heat and stir until bubbly. Add broth slowly, stirring constantly.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for at least 13 minutes.
Add chopped giblets and wine to gravy and heat for a few minutes
to blend flavors.
