The Comprehensive Cancer Center
Melanoma Program

Leading-Edge Research

Patients evaluated at the Comprehensive Cancer Center have access to many new and ongoing research trials.

We are participating in the Sunbelt Melanoma Trial, the largest trial of its kind, evaluating sentinel lymph node surgery, molecular testing and interferon drug therapy.

We are an internationally recognized center for research in epidemiology, prevention, and early detection of melanoma and other cutaneous malignancies.

Patients evaluated at the Comprehensive Cancer Center have access to many new and ongoing research trials for all stages of melanoma through the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and Brown University Oncology Group. Physicians and patients can call our medical oncology protocol office at 401-444-8856 for up-to-date information about research trials we are currently involved in.
