  • Prioritize responsibilities, such as sending cards, putting up a tree, or cooking.
  • If you decide to do holiday shopping, purchase through a catalog or make a simple list.
  • Let family and friends know how much celebration you can comfortably handle.
  • Allow yourself to express your feelings.
  • Do something special (purchase a gift in memory of your loved one).
  • Get enough rest.
  • Keep in mind that one day you will enjoy the holidays again.
