Your car should be as safe as your home. Be prepared to protect yourself
and passengers from the elements if you
have to wait in the car or walk for help. It's a good idea to keep the
following items in the car in case of a winter emergency:
In the trunk:
- working flashlights
- flares
- blankets

A cellular phone is a sure link to highway help (make sure the battery
