Through a 1998 grant from Tanya and Dennis Glass, Hasbro
Childrens Hospital has been delighting patients, their families,
and hospital staff with an engaging performing arts program.
In weekly performances at a variety of hospital locations,
professional performers from a wide range of disciplines provide entertainment,
interaction and an educational arts experience for the hospital community.
Recognizing that it is important for young spectators to
have the chance to participate, a hands-on workshop or interactive segment
follows each performance.
In 1999, the performing art program was expanded to include
performances in the Ambulatory Services Clinic, with programming specially
geared to the needs of ambulatory patients and their families.
