Healing Arts Program at Lifespan
|
|
Participants overlapped pieces of colored tissue paper to create the many-layered dragon. The colors represent earth, air, fire and water. Surgeons created the eyes for this all-seeing beast. This powerful and energetic dragon is a perfect piece of artwork for a community dealing with illness and healing. The dragon now hangs in the surgical services pre-op waiting room at Hasbro Childrens Hospital. |
Lifespan's Healing Arts Program is honored to provide the opportunity for patients to create original works of art and inspiring art performances for the hospital community. Our award-winning art programs make our hospitals comfortable and more encouraging places for our patients and their families.
Our programs are also among the many distinguishing aspects that have made our partner hospitals among New England's most respected medical facilities. These programs would not be possible without the generous gifts of time, materials and funding Lifespan receives from the community.
We are grateful for the many volunteers and supporters who make these
arts programs possible. If you would like to support the Healing Arts
Program at Lifespan, please call Paula Most, coordinator for the arts
at Lifespan, at 401-444-3153.
