Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program
Brown University/Tufts University/The Miriam Hospital
Brown University, Tufts University and the Miriam Hospital operate the Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program (AITRP), funded since 1993 by the National Institutes of Health-Fogarty International Center (D43-TW000237). The Brown/Tufts/Miriam AITRP currently works with trainees from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Kenya and the Philippines. Over the past 15 years, over 80 foreign scientists have been trained, resulting in 90 peer-reviewed publications and almost 200 presentations at international conferences. Kenneth H. Mayer, MD, Professor of Medicine and Community Health at Brown University, serves as the Principle Investigator.
