Cardiovascular, Pulmonary and
Vascular Rehabilitation
 If you are recovering from open-heart surgery, a heart attack or
stent implantation, suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease or experiencing severe leg pain, rehabilitation programs
can help you lead a healthier and more comfortable lifestyle.
Rehabilitation programs are staffed with cardiologists, exercise
physiologists, nutritionists, behavioral health psychologists, registered
nurses, pulmonologists, and physical or respiratory therapists.
Health Insurance
Depending upon the type of insurance you have, your deductible
and your diagnosis, most cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary program
costs are covered. Most health plans require a modest co-pay.
Health insurance plans, however, do not cover vascular rehabilitation
or maintenance and prevention program costs. Some facilities may
offer affordable payment plans for those who qualify.
