The objectives of our
program are to:

  1. Maintain accreditation in order to provide approved programs of continuing education for physicians consistent with their needs and those of the medical community.

  2. Identify the postgraduate educational needs of physicians and to plan, implement and manage educational activities designed to meet these needs.

  3. Provide quality educational activities which are designed to transmit new information; to teach new medical techniques or procedures; to refresh knowledge and skills; to increase awareness of quality of care issues; and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on medically related ethical, political, legal and social issues.

  4. Enhance clinical skills and performance to provide the highest quality state-of-the-art care to the patients of The Miriam Hospital.

  5. Measure outcomes and impact on patient care of CME activities.
