Continuing Medical Education
The objectives of our
program are to:
- Maintain accreditation in order to provide approved programs
of continuing education for physicians consistent with their needs
and those of the medical community.
- Identify the postgraduate educational needs of physicians and
to plan, implement and manage educational activities designed
to meet these needs.
- Provide quality educational activities which are designed to
transmit new information; to teach new medical techniques or procedures;
to refresh knowledge and skills; to increase awareness of quality
of care issues; and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas
on medically related ethical, political, legal and social issues.
- Enhance clinical skills and performance to provide the highest
quality state-of-the-art care to the patients of The Miriam Hospital.
- Measure outcomes and impact on patient care of CME activities.
Accreditation
The Miriam Hospital is accredited by the Rhode Island Medical
Society to provide continuing medical education for
