Newport Hospital has been certified by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center.
More about the quality of Stroke care at Newport Hospital
Why Is This Treatment Important?
There are many examples of how patient education programs for specific chronic conditions have increased healthful behaviors, improved health status, and/or decreased health care costs of their participants. Family/caregivers will also need guidance in planning effective and realistic care strategies appropriate to the patient's prognosis and potential for rehabilitation.
What the Scores Mean
A higher percentage is good because it means more patients received the recommended treatment. However, a lower score does not necessarily indicate poor care. You should consider the overall quality of a facility in addition to individual category scores.
