The Workforce S.T.A.T. program is designed, in partnership with Homefront Health Care, to meet the needs of the health care industry by transitioning – in an accelerated manner – a group of unemployed or underemployed entry-level Rhode Islanders into a prepared, focused, well-qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) workforce. Upon completion of this 15 week program, participants earn their Rhode Island CNA licenses, BLS certifications and work readiness credentials. Program graduates will be hired upon successful completion at Homefront Health Care facility. (Note: This program does NOT include an internship at any Lifespan-affiliated hospitals. Internships MUST take place at Homefront Health Care).
The fall session will take 15 weeks to complete. The free CNA course will take place at Homefront Health Care’s Providence office. The paid internship will be offered at Homefront Health Care’s five locations:
