Ann has been employed at Lifespan since 2000. Formerly the chief financial officer at Newport Hospital, Kashamnian was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2004.
Kashmanian is responsible for budget development, financial planning and operations at Rhode Island Hospital as well as patient registration, financial counseling, and health information services at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and Newport Hospital.
Ann has led teams responsible for revenue enhancement, coding and documentation, training and education on Medicare regulations, and process improvement in various financial operational areas. Prior to Lifespan, she worked as the controller of Butler Hospital, as chief financial officer of Community Counseling Center, and as a senior accountant for KPMG.
She holds a master's degree in business administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Cross College. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Health Care Financial Management Association, and the Senior Executive Council of VHA Northeast. She serves as a board member of Navigant Credit Union and Saint Raphael Academy.
