At Lifespan, we recognize that we are part of a wide and diverse community, and we find myriad ways to expand our expertise beyond our hospitals and centers, and into our community. Lifespan offers many programs and clinics that provide care in our neighborhoods.
Our hospitals’ community-based clinics provide care for those suffering from or at risk for diseases such as tuberculosis, Lyme disease, and HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Every year, our hospital programs help thousands of Rhode Islanders stay healthy by providing free screening and referral services, and access to early diagnosis and treatment, for conditions such as diabetes and skin cancer. In addition, we coordinate hundreds of programs, events and community service activities that serve between 25,000 and 30,000 southern New Englanders annually. Programs are often offered free or at a reduced cost to the community. More about our programs for adults
Hasbro Children’s Hospital is the state’s premier pediatric facility and Bradley Hospital is the nation’s first psychiatric hospital devoted exclusively to children and adolescents. In addition to the expert medical and mental health care they provide to the children and adolescents of our region, the hospitals are committed to extending that care into the community through a range of clinics, conferences, and programs.
