Volunteering at Lifespan Hospitals

VolunteerVolunteers at Lifespan hospitals are integral members of our team. Each and every volunteer makes a difference in the lives of our patients. Thank you for considering volunteer opportunities at Lifespan.

  • Rhode Island Hospital
Each year, about 1,100 people volunteer at Rhode Island Hospital. Volunteers must be 14 years old or older, commit to at least 100 hours of total service, be willing to help others and have an interest in the health care community.

  • Hasbro Children's Hospital
Volunteers at Hasbro Children's are college and high school students, retirees, working professionals, individuals considering a career change or returning to the work force, and individuals with a special skill or talent.

  • The Miriam Hospital
People of all ages and background volunteer at The Miriam Hospital. Volunteers may be adults, junior volunteers (14 to 17 years old) or interns (students completing education and career development as part of their school's curriculum).

  • Bradley Hospital
Bradley volunteers have the opportunity to serve the nation's first psychiatric hospital for adolescents and children in a variety of areas, including research, speech pathology, reading programs and more.

  • Newport Hospital
More than 200 adult and junior volunteers serve wherever there is need for special warmth, cheer and understanding. Volunteers at Newport Hospital make a major contribution by giving time to enhance the quality of patient care and to provide support services for the professional staff.
