The Lifespan and Care New England Merger

In late July, Lifespan and Care New England (CNE) announced plans to merge the two organizations into a single entity that will be known as Lifespan. The combination of the two systems will help ensure our long-term financial stability, thus allowing us to continue our mission of caring for all individuals regardless of their ability to pay. The merger will also bolster our support for medical education and research, as well as position our system as a regional health care delivery network that will be better able to act as an economic engine for our state.
