Thyroid stormDefinitionThyroid storm is a life-threatening condition that develops in cases of untreated thyrotoxicosis (hyperthyroidism). Blood tests are done to evaluate thyroid function. Possible ComplicationsCongestive heart failure and pulmonary edema can develop rapidly and lead to death.
