HemoglobinopathyDefinitionHemoglobinopathy is a group of disorders passed down through families (inherited) in which there is abnormal production or structure of the hemoglobin molecule. Such disorders include hemoglobin C disease, hemoglobin S-C disease, sickle cell anemia, and various types of thalassemia. ReferencesGolan DE.
