The Goal
The purpose of this study is to examine the feasibility and benefits of a home-based exercise program with a goal of improving quality of life after cancer treatment. Our aim is to help improve physical function, fitness, fatigue, vigor and well being in a way that is most convenient and tailored for one’s personal interests and lifestyle.

The Benefits
Participation in this study will contribute to gaining knowledge necessary in helping to improve the lives of others diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer. In a similar study of breast cancer survivors, participants became more physically active and fit, had more energy and felt better about themselves.

Participants
Men and women 18 years and older who are in good health, not regularly physically active, and have completed cancer (Stage 0-III) treatment within the last ten years are invited to participate.

Healing Moves participants receive:

  • An easy, personalized program
  • Convenient telephone counseling support with a trained health educator

There are no classes to attend.
