Center Staff
The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities is directed by Rowland
Barrett, PhD. The staff is highly experienced and professionally
trained in the area of developmental disabilities and psychiatric
disorders. All of the doctors employed by the program are faculty
members at Brown Medical School.
Staff members include:
- child psychiatrists
- clinical psychologists
- psychiatric social workers
- psychiatric nurses
- special education teachers
- occupational therapists
- speech and language pathologists
- physical therapists
- behavior therapists
A continuous care team
Regardless of where a patient is transferred within the program
(inpatient, day, residential, home-based or outpatient), the treatment
team remains unchanged. Patients and their families keep the same
doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists and teachers.
