Day (Developmental Disabilities School)

The center’s day program provides special education services for 25 school-age children and adolescents who present with chronic behavior disorders, in addition to a developmental disability.

Students referred to this program often present with oppositional and disruptive classroom behaviors, as well as social and life skill difficulties. The day program can also serve as a step-down component to the inpatient service.

The day program is an accredited special education school licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education. It is an approved Chapter 766 school for students from Massachusetts.
