The Center for Autism
and Developmental Disabilities

Inpatient Services

The inpatient service program has evaluated and treated children and adolescents from 27 states across the country.

The center offers acute care service for up to 24 children and adolescents, 4 to 21 years old, who present with serious behavioral disorders in addition to a developmental condition, such as mental retardation or autism.

Children admitted to the inpatient service have been identified as a danger to themselves (exhibit self-injurious behavior) and/or others (outwardly aggressive). The inpatient service has a national reputation for outstanding clinical care and has evaluated and treated children and adolescents from 27 states.

Inpatient services for developmentally disabled patients make up only a small portion of our overall program.
