    What to expect

    • Upon arrival, you will be asked to lie on you back. You will be injected with a small amount of radioactive material that will highlight your liver and gallbladder. There are no side effects to this injection.
    • A camera will be positioned over your abdomen. You will need to lie still. A series of images will be taken. The imaging process can take up to one hour. If necessary, the radiologist may ask for more images to be taken.
