The Women’s Medicine Collaborative at Lifespan provides multidisciplinary, patient-centered, personalized care to meet the unique health needs of women at all stages of life.
Our physicians are board-certified, nationally recognized specialists and serve on the faculty of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
We are committed to helping women reach their greatest health potential in body, mind and spirit.
Our comprehensive range of services includes the following.
We offer specialized, personal help for behavioral health issues exclusive to women, including mood and anxiety disorders during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. We also see women facing infertility or pregnancy loss.
Patients are scanned by a trained, ISCD-certified bone density technologist and all exams are read by a board certified endocrinologist who is also an ISCD-certified clinician. We provide testing services for women and men using our Hologic densitometer.
We provide medical expertise and vast clinical resources to meet each woman’s unique needs during and after cancer treatment. Our comprehensive range of services include:

- High-Risk Breast Program
- Programs in Cancer Survivorship
We offer clinical expertise, state-of-the-art technology and academic excellence with a caring, personal touch including fecal transplantation treatment for a disease caused by overgrowth of a (bad) bacteria, called Clostridium difficile (or C diff), when standard therapies have failed.
Lifestyle medicine is the evidence-based practice of assisting individuals and families to adopt and sustain behaviors that can improve health and quality of life.
We offer consultative services specifically for women experiencing menopausal concerns. We take a holistic approach to help you achieve optimal health during this time of life.
This program is the state’s only integrated, specialty care service that offers minimally invasive gynecology for women of all ages through an affiliation with a full-service hospital.
Our multidisciplinary obstetric medicine service (MOMS) is dedicated to serving the special and diverse needs of women with medical conditions before, during and after pregnancy. We provide a full range of programs including:
We provide a full range of obstetric and gynecological services, with a medical staff of 12 physicians, 5 certified nurse midwives and 2 nurse practitioners.
We provide personal, sensitive, individualized primary care for women 18 years and older, from routine exams to care for acute and chronic conditions.

The pulmonary function laboratory provides a full range of pulmonary function testing and pulmonary services with women's needs in mind.

Rhode Island Hospital, in partnership with the Women’s Medicine Collaborative, offers a full range of women’s health specialties, including comprehensive gynecologic oncology and gynecologic surgery services.
