    • Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s clinics provide primary care for newborns, adolescents and young adults.

    • To offer our patients and their families greater convenience and easy access, Hasbro Children’s Hospital has additional specialty care locations for a number of programs in East Providence and East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and in Fall River, Massachusetts.

    • Rhode Island Hospital has opened an ambulatory surgery center in Providence.

    Newport Hospital is Newport County’s only acute care hospital and a community hospital with a broad spectrum of health services, including an emergency department, an award-winning birthing center, a behavioral health unit, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, a renowned rehabilitation division, and a comprehensive array of outpatient services such as wound care, physical therapy, and digital diagnostic imaging.

    Lifespan staff work together and share their expertise, harnessing the power of collaboration to create centers of excellence, such as the Orthopedics Institute and Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute. These key programs deliver the best care available to our patients, as we continue to expand the specialty care we offer:

     
    The dedicated stroke unit is a unique, 10-bed center devoted to the care of stroke patients. It is designed to help patients and caregivers navigate those first difficult steps toward recovery.
    • Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals opened the Center for Bariatric Surgery, which offers comprehensive and compassionate care for individuals who are seeking a surgical solution for weight control. It is the largest weight loss surgery program in the state.

    • Rhode Island Hospital opened a dedicated stroke unit, designed to get stroke patients the fastest diagnosis and quickest, most advanced treatment. The unit is the first of its kind in New England.

    • The Miriam Hospital opened the Kidney Stone Center, the only center of its kind in the state, bringing together a team of nephrologists, urologists and dietitians under one roof to provide comprehensive care for patients who have or are recovering from kidney stones.
