Our Comprehensive Cancer Center has expanded our first-rate cancer care beyond the hospital setting, and now offers the entire spectrum of cancer care in our
state-of-the-art facility in East Greenwich, including hematology and oncology consultation and office visits, chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments, social services and patient navigation. We also offer our patients additional on-site benefits such as laboratory services, physical and lymphedema therapy, and occupational therapy.
Physicians at our Cardiovascular Institute were the first in Rhode Island

Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals opened the
Center for Bariatric Surgery, which offers comprehensive and compassionate care for individuals who are seeking a surgical solution for weight control. It is the largest weight loss surgery program in the state.
Rhode Island Hospital opened a dedicated stroke unit, designed to get stroke patients the fastest diagnosis and quickest, most advanced treatment. The unit is the first of its kind in New England.
The Miriam Hospital opened the Kidney Stone Center,
the only center of its kind in the state, bringing together a team of nephrologists, urologists and dietitians under one roof to provide comprehensive care for patients who have or are recovering from kidney stones.
