  • "Depression & Violence Prevention- For Girls"

This project, funded by the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and University Emergency Medicine Foundation, focuses on the intersection of depressive symptoms, peer violence, and technology use among teenage girls. The research project has two goals:

    • To characterize the temporal association between mood changes and fights among adolescent girls by using daily text-messaging assessments.

    • To develop a text-message-based intervention for adolescent girls with a history of fights to prevent further violence as well as related mental health problems.
