Pediatric Rheumatology
The pediatric rheumatology clinic at Hasbro Children's Hospital
is a multidisciplinary program designed to provide comprehensive
assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who have:
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
- Lyme arthritis
- Post-infectious/reactive arthritis
- Hypersentsitivity vasculitis/serum sickness/drug reactions
- Henoch-Schönlein purpura
- Kawasaki's disease
- Acute rheumatic fever
- Spondyloarthritis
- Inflammatory bowel disease, with arthritis
- Screening for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
In addition, we treat the following related conditions:
- Growing pains
- Chondromalacia patellae
- Hypermobility
- Generalized arthralgias exclusive of chronic pain amplification
syndromes
