Overview of Activities
Clinical Responsibilities -
General Pediatrics:
- Continuous care (e.g., continuity clinic, evening clinic, SSTAR
Program)
- Urgent care clinic
- Child Development Center
- Developmental/behavioral pediatrics
- Emergency pediatric medicine (as arranged)
- Adolescent medicine clinic and teen-tot clinic (as arranged)
- Subspecialty pediatrics (as arranged)
Educational Responsibilities/Opportunities:
- MPH degree (Brown University)
- Ambulatory pediatrics resident/student clinics and conferences
- Pediatric noon conferences (three times weekly, monthly case
presentations and discussions)
- Weekly conference on research topics of interest (with mentor)
- Journal club (meets monthly or as arranged, review manuscripts
submitted for publication)
- Administration projects
Research Activities:
- Attend core research lectures (core colloquiums) for all pediatric
department fellows in statistics, epidemiology, research design,
health services research
- Clinical/behavioral·developmental research colloquium
(weekly or as arranged) (present 3-4 times per year)
- Develop and complete research project (regional, national presentations,
publications)
- Regional and national ambulatory pediatric association meetings
Completion of Training in
Nationally-Approved Resuscitation Courses:
- Advanced cardiac life support - provider
- Advanced trauma life support - provider
- Advanced pediatric life support - provider
Call Schedule:
- Beeper-call, up to one evening per week and one weekend per
month, as backup to nurse telephone triage system
