Suggested Wording for Charitable Bequests

The following section provides suggested wording for your attorney to use when you make a charitable bequest:

For Rhode Island Hospital:
"I give to Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, a Rhode Island non-profit corporation located in Providence, RI, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the asset) to be used for its unrestricted charitable purposes (or otherwise describe the designation*).

For Hasbro Children's Hospital:
"I give to Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, a Rhode Island non-profit corporation located in Providence, RI, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the asset) for the benefit of Hasbro Children's Hospital to be used for its unrestricted charitable purposes (or otherwise describe the designation*).

For all Lifespan hospitals:
"I give to Lifespan Foundation, a Rhode Island non-profit corporation located in Providence, RI, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the asset) to be used for its unrestricted charitable purposes (or otherwise describe the designation*).

* We recommend the donor or the attorney discuss specific program designations with an officer of the Foundation for accuracy, charitable appropriateness and feasibility.
