Team Captain Information

Be a Team Captain and Earn Your Buttons of Hope!

Teams are a wonderful way to gather together your friends, family members, and colleagues in support of a worthwhile cause.  For teams that raise $2,500 or more, their walkers will receive the Hasbro Children's Hospital Buttons of Hope.

• Recruit! Recruit! Recruit! Team members can be anybody – friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, etc.  Be sure to ask everyone you know! The more the merrier and the easier it is to fundraise! Teammates can join online at www.thewalk4hch.org.
• Set a Goal!  Don’t keep it a secret and set a realistic but significant goal. 
• Raise Money!  Fundraising is easier when you make it personal.  Tell your stories about how special Hasbro Children’s Hospital is!  Also, don’t forget to ask whoever sponsors you if their employer offers matching gifts.
• Motivate!  Inspire! Encourage! As a leader, it is up to you to remind your teammates of why they are participating.
• Inform!  Be knowledgeable about The Walk and inform your teammates, answer questions and coordinate team information – bibs, t-shirts and buttons.
• Have Fun!  Being a team captain is an opportunity to share a great experience with friends, family, or coworkers.
