- Where does The Walk: Hasbro Children's Hospital take place?
The Walk: Hasbro Children’s Hospital will take place in historic downtown Providence RI on Sunday, October 4. It will leave from and return toStation Park.

- Is there a fee to register?
Yes, there is a fee of $15.00 per person, and we ask that each walker set a minimum fundraising goal of $100. Children age 12 and under (on event day) have a minimum goal of $50.
- What is the schedule for The Walk?
Registration will be between 9 and 11 a.m.; The Walk starts at 11 a.m. Refreshments and restroom facilities will be provided. If it rains, please come to The Walk, sign in, deliver your contributions, and receive your Walk t-shirt. If heavy rain forces the cancellation of The Walk, you will receive credit for walking and be asked to collect and send in all outstanding pledges.
- How long is The Walk?
The Walk consists of a 2- and 5-mile walk route. The course runs along the canals in historic downtown Providence.
- Are dogs allowed at The Walk?
As much as we love them, dogs are not allowed at The Walk: Hasbro Children’s Hospital for a variety of logistic and environmental reasons.
- Where does the money go?
Proceeds from this inaugural event will directly support the innovative and extensive programs and services of Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Every year, Hasbro Children’s Hospital cares for more than 64,000 inpatients, 75,000 outpatients and an additional 48,000 children in the emergency department. The state-of-the-art, world-class facility provides exceptional care to children and their families across Rhode Island and southeastern New England, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
- How do I handle matching gift forms and checks that I have collected?
Please send any matching gift forms to: The Walk: Hasbro Children’s Hospital, c/o Loren Wren, 139 Point Street, Providence, RI 02903. Please be sure your name, address and team affiliation are on the envelope.
You can send checks along with the sponsor pledge form to the same address or bring them with you on Walk Day.
- What is a team?
Teams are comprised of walkers representing businesses, schools, colleges, religious groups, or other community organizations in Rhode Island and Southeastern New England. There are also many family and friends teams that participate, some of whom walk in honor of a special child. Teams can range in size from just a few to hundreds of walkers.
- What are my responsibilities as team captain?
A team captain’s role is to recruit, inspire, and motivate people to register to walk and raise funds. To promote team participation, a team captain’s first task is spread the word to friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, classmates and more that your company/school/organization is participating in The Walk: Hasbro Children’s Hospital and to recruit as many walkers as possible. After walkers begin to register, following up is key to fundraising success. All team captains will receive a special Walk baseball cap.
- What is the 4 Hope Club?
The 4 Hope Club celebrates all of our walkers who go above and beyond in their commitment to supporting Hasbro Children's Hospital. This elite group of walkers will help us achieve our goal of $250,000 by raising $250 or more. Each member will receive a 4 Hope Club colored walk t-shirt to identify them as part of this special group. These top fundraisers will also receive an invitation to a reception next year acknowledging their efforts.
- Where do I send in outstanding pledges after The Walk?

- Can I volunteer
