Directions and Parking

• From Boston or points north:
  Route I-95 South. Take the Charles Street Exit (Exit 23). At the end of the exit, turn right, and immediately move into the left lane. Turn left onto Ashburton Street. Move into the right lane; you will come to one traffic light - keep to the right and follow to Orms Street (Marriott on the right). Get into the left lane; at the traffic light, turn left onto State Street. Move into the right lane, and at the next traffic light (corner of State Street and Smith Street), turn right. The parking lots are on the left and right of Smith Street.
  
  
• From points south:
  Route I-95 North. Take the State Offices Exit (Exit 23). Keep in the center lane, and at the end of the exit, go straight through the traffic light. Move into the right lane; at the traffic light (corner of State Street and Smith Street), turn right. The parking lots are on the left and right of Smith Street.

Complimentary parking is available in the following Rhode Island state property parking lots located behind the State House:

• Lower State House parking lot off of Smith Street
• Department of Transportation parking lot off of Smith Street
• Department of Administration parking lot off of Park Street or State Street

Volunteers and signage will be available to direct you.
