About Us
Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, is the
pediatric division of Rhode Island Hospital, the largest teaching
hospital of Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. A private, not-for-profit hospital,
Hasbro Children's Hospital has been named a top children's hospital
by Child magazine, ranking ninth in orthopedics.
Hasbro Children's Hospital is nationally recognized for its Child
Protection Program and Draw-A-Breath
asthma and allergy initiative. It is also the home of the Injury
Prevention Center, which aims to reduce accidental injuries
in children. The hospital has pioneered numerous procedures and
is at the forefront of fetal surgery, orthopedics and pediatric
neurosurgery. Hasbro Children's Hospital is a member of the Lifespan
health system.
Hasbro Children's Hospital is classified as a "hospital within
a hospital" by the National Association of Children's Hospitals
and Related Institutions (NACHRI). Through our membership with NACHRI,
we are committed to providing the best health care services for
children, and ensuring the continued health of children through
clinical care, research, training and advocacy.
In 2006, Hasbro Children's Hospital became a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospital, the only hospital in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts with this prestigious designation.
The Children's Miracle Network is an international alliance of premier pediatric hospitals dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children. CMN is a non-profit organization dedicating to helping kids by raising funds for the 170 children's hospitals across North America. Each year, these hospitals provide the finest care, research and community outreach to help millions of children with diseases and inuries of every kind.
