Karen Diagle, MD
Karen Daigle, MD is the interim chief for pediatric pulmonology and co-director of the pediatric cardiopulmonary function and exercise laboratory at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Daigle’s focus is on clinical care, especially the treatment of children with asthma, pulmonary function abnormalities in children, and sleep disorders such as apnea. Before joining Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Daigle was an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she also served as the director of the pediatric pulmonary fellowship training program. She was the director of the pediatric pulmonary function and exercise laboratory and the pediatric pulmonary flexible bronchoscopy program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Additionally, Daigle served as the coordinator of the education program for the pediatric pulmonary division at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Daigle earned her undergraduate and medical degree from the Brown University Program in Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse, N.Y. and her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at The Lung Center at Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, N.Y. and the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Conn. She is board certified in pediatric pulmonology and a fellow for the American Thoracic Society.
