Friedman, MD
Aaron Friedman, MD, is the pediatrician-in-chief of Hasbro Children's
Hospital, the pediatric division of Rhode Island Hospital. He is
also chair of the department of pediatrics and professor of pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Friedman oversees campus and clinical faculty and the academic
pediatric program at Hasbro Children's Hospital and is responsible
for planning pediatric inpatient and ambulatory services, advancing
research programs, recruiting faculty, and coordinating undergraduate
and graduate programs.
Friedman specializes in nephrology and has lectured internationally.
He is currently on the board of directors of the American Board
of Pediatrics. He also serves on the editorial board of Pediatric
Nephrology and was previously the associate editor. He is also a
contributing section editor for nephrology in the American Academy
of Pediatric Grand Rounds and served as a member of the editorial
board of the Journal of Pediatrics. Friedman has authored nearly
100 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
